Chicago, IL ,also named as the “Best Sports City” by Sporting News, is home to 15 professional sport teams. Most notably, Chicago is one of the three cities in the US with two Major League Baseball teams: the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Cubs. Chicago is also one of the ten US cities to have teams from the five major American professional teams (baseball, football, basketball, hockey, soccer). With such a wide range of famous teams, sports are a big part of Chicago’s culture.
Chicago’s various teams, besides the Bulls and the Blackhawks who share a venue, each have their own stadium for games and live events year-round, which are architectural masterpieces on their own. Wrigley Field, home to the Chicago Cubs, and Guaranteed Rate Field, home to the Chicago White Sox, are the places to hit up to truly feel the city’s passion for baseball. The United Center, on the other hand, is the largest stadium in the country, making it an iconic place to visit while in Chicago. Visitors can choose among over 200 events, including basketball and hockey, that are held at the arena every year.
