    Despite Chicago being a highly technologically advanced city, there is significant history when it comes to its architectural masterpieces. Rookery Building, a Chicago Landmark located in the downtown Financial District, is another architectural masterpiece for its usage of unique load-bearing walls and a skeletal frame. The building has been used to film popular movies such as Home Alone 2, making it a must-visit when in Chicago

    Finally, the One Illinois Center is notable for its International Style which is a design that focuses on the elegance of the materials and technical perfection over applied ornamentation. The building is also known for having the newly opened Chicago Architecture Center.
